Girls Under-15 Camp: Day Three Recap

Game Competition Comes to a Close

The final day of game competition at the 2015 USA Hockey Girls Under-15 Player Development Camp took place July 22 at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center in St. Cloud, Minnesota. In the first game of the day on Rink 2, Team Pink gained a 4-0 win over Team Forest Green. Sydney Herrington had the first and fourth goals in the game for Team Pink, while Aiden Peduzzi and Venice Rasoulis also had goals in the winning effort. Maddox Angerhoffer and Taylor Stadeli combined for 16 saves and the shutout win.

Team Grey scored a 4-3 win over Team Red as Shay Maloney notched the game winner at 15:14 of the second period. Maloney also had a shorthanded goal in the first period, while Julianna Gong and Megan Jacobs added Grey’s other goals. Chloe McEnelly had two goals and one assist in the game for Team Red.

Team White and Team Royal Blue skated to a 3-3 tie. Team White's goals were tallied by Jacqueline Falk, Brooke Bryant and Macey Ravndalen, while Team Royal Blue’s goals were scored by Grace Lee, Sara McClanahan and Tracey Stafford.

Team Light Blue scored at 4:01 in overtime to mark a 2-1 victory over Team Gold. The game-winning goal was scored by Light Blue’s Allie Cornelius, while the first goal of the game for Light Blue was posted by Ashlie Killen. Sadie Peart added the lone goal of the game for Team Gold. Team Light Blue goalies Alexa Dobchuk and Gwyneth Phillips had 27 saves in the win.

In the final game of the day on Rink 1, Team Vegas edged Team Teal by a 2-1 margin. Vegas’ Emma Seitz scored the game winner at 13:58 of the second, while Abigail Boreen scored the other goal for Team Vegas in the first period. Kelly McCarthy scored the lone goal for Team Teal.

Team Black ended the day with a 9-2 win over Team Orange. Team Black’s offense was highlighted by a hat trick from Sommer Ross, who also added an assist, and two goals from Savannah Norcross, who also had two assists in the game.
