Boys Select 15: Day Two Recap

Team Columbia Blue remains undefeated

Unbeaten: After two days of play, Team Columbia Blue is the only squad off to a perfect start with two regulation wins. Goaltender Keegan Karki has been flawless for Columbia, stopping all 36 shots he’s faced so far.

Green Machine: Kevin Wall had the performance of the day for Team Forest Green with two goals and two assists, as Forest edged Team Navy Blue to earn their first win of the competition.

Golden Day: Kyle Haskins (Team Gold) equaled Wall’s totals on day two, putting up two goals and two assists of his own. Team Gold also earned their first win over Team Kelly Green.

Off Day: After two days of competition, Saturday was solely a practice day with no competition games. Teams have games remaining today, Monday and Tuesday before breaking camp.

Did You Know: Team Orange coach Joe Exter, an assistant at Ohio State University, spent four years as an assistant coach with USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program and has served on the USA Hockey staff at numerous International Ice Hockey Federation World Junior Championships. Exter is a graduate of Merrimack and played two seasons as a goaltender for the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL).
