Six goaltenders earn shutouts in opening day of camp games

Shutout Goaltending: Six goaltenders began camp’s competition play by stopping all shots they faced on day one: Trent Burnham (Team Black), Joshua Graziano (Team Red), Jack Faulkner (Team Kelly Blue), Keegan Karki (Team Columbia Blue), Drew Deridder (Team White) and Eric Voloshin (Team Purple).

Three-Point Performances: Five players opened camp with a three-point performance in their opening game: Spencer Weisgram (Team Royal Blue), Chase McLane (Team Royal Blue), Jake Wise (Team Royal Blue), Jack Randl (Team Orange) and Akil Thomas (Team Orange).

Competition Format: Each team will compete in five games in an effort to compile the most points and win its division title. Goal differential serves as the tiebreaker. Points are awarded as follows: regulation win (3), shootout win (2), shootout loss (1).

Did You Know: This is the third of three USA Hockey development camps held this summer in Amherst, New York. Of the 3,148 players who have participated in the camps since 2006, 691 have gone on to play at least one game at the NCAA level.
