Girls Under-18 Camp: Day Four Recap

Camp concludes with cross-ice games

The 2015 USA Hockey Girls Under-18 Development Camp at St. Cloud State University’s Herb Brooks National Hockey Center in St. Cloud, Minn. came to a conclusion on Tuesday, July 14. The final day of the camp featured a series of cross-ice competition games on the two rinks at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center

Team Black completed the camp with a perfect 3-0 record and led all teams with 11 goals scored.

The top defensive teams in the camp were Team Blue and Team Royal Blue with just five goals allowed apiece in their three games played

Team Black’s Taylor Anderson topped the scoring list in the camp with six points (1 goal, 5 assists) in three games played. Anderson also led the camp with five helpers.

The camp’s top goal scorer was Kirsten Nergaard, who had four goals and five points over the week.

Team White’s Margaret Cory and Team Blue’s Elizabeth Hanson paced the camp’s goalies as they both allowed just one goal apiece. Cory owned a 0.62 goals-against average and a .972 save rate, while Hanson had a 0.67 goals-against average and a .967 save rate.

USA Hockey will be back at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center next week as the arena will host the Girls Under-15 Development Camp on July 17-23.
