Girls Under-18 Camp: Day Three Recap

In the final day of games at the Girls U18 Development Camp at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center in St. Cloud, Minn., Team Pink posted a 2-1 victory over Team White to open the day on Rink 1. Hannah Schultz and Lydia Passolt each had goals in the contest for Team Pink, while Nicole Guagliardo added the lone goal for Team White.

Team Red and Team Green skated to a 2-2 tie in the other early game. Team Green’s Rachel Deperio scored two goals in the contest, while Team Red’s goals were added by Amanda Harris and Shannon Griffin. Team Red’s goalie duo of Amelia Murray and Emma Polusny combined for 28 saves in the game while Team Green’s Sydney Scobee and Hailey Martin combined for 25 saves.

Team Black charted three goals in the first period to gain a 3-2 win over Team Purple. Amanda Zenstein, Carlie Magier and Cassidy Sullivan charted goals for Team Black, while Team Purple’s markers were provided by Sena Hanson and Darby Melia.

A goal by Team Gray’s Hannah Bates with :30 left in the contest provided her squad with a 4-3 victory over Team Royal Blue. Brooke Kudrika charged Team Gray with two goals in the first period and Janey Sandoval opened the second period with a goal. Royal Blue’s Tessa Ward scored in the first period and then rallied with second period goals by Grace Markey and Abby Halluska.

The final game of the day resulted in a 3-0 shutout win by Team Gold over Team Blue. Netminders Jennifer Gregg and Claire Minnerath coined the shutout with a combined total of 28 saves. Hayler Lunny, Kirsten Nergaard and Sofia Poinar all scored goals in the win for Team Gold.
