Roster Update: Steven Ruggiero (Royal, No. 3) was named to the Blue All-Star team, but missed the game due to injury.

Blue All-Stars Prevail: The Blue All-Star squad tied things up with less than five minutes remaining and eventually squeaked past the White All-Stars in a shootout by a score of 3-2. Andrew Vanderbeck (No. 20) and Ryan Smith (No. 14) lit the lamp for Blue in the winning effort, while Tom Novak (No. 10) and Daniel Warpecha (No. 20) found the back of the net for White. The shootout goals were scored by Blue's Tanner Laczynski (No. 9) and Tony Stillwell (No. 7), with Brock Boeser (No. 11) burying the lone tally for White. Blue goaltender Matt Jurusik (No. 1) turned away all 23 shots faced over regulation/overtime play before also denying four-of-five White shootout shooters.

More to Come: Three more camps are scheduled for competition at the Northtown Center in the coming weeks. The Select 16 camp runs from July 7-13, followed by the Sled Hockey camp from July 14-19 with the Select 15's hitting the ice from July 14-20.

Off the Ice: Camp invitees also received off-ice guidance at the Select 17s. Sunday night wrapped with an open forum for invitees to learn about professional and Olympic hockey from a panel that included Bob Corkum (728 regular-season NHL games), Guy Gosselin (two-time U.S. Olympian), Mike Grier (1,060 NHL games), Craig Johnson (557 NHL games) and Jay Pandolfo (899 NHL games). Most of the discussion centered on what it takes to excel in advancing levels of hockey, a theme that dovetailed into Monday's presentation from Nate Ewell, deputy executive director of College Hockey, Inc.
