  • Gold's Benjamin Gleason (No. 5) was the only player to return to action on Friday after being sidelined due to injury on Thursday.  The players that didn’t suit up on Friday included Orange's Jake Ryczek (No. 2), Gold's Augie Burkhardt (No. 15), Royal's Jack Badini (No. 14), Purple's Reece Morris (No. 4), Grey’s Carter Long (No. 5), Kelly's David Kompson (No. 3) and Kelly's James Greenway (No. 4).
  • Firing on All Cylinders: In Royal's 9-4 triumph over Forest on Friday, the club received points from 12 different skaters, including seven who contributed more than one.  Cameron Donaldson (No. 8), John Leonard (No. 14), Brendan Skarda (No. 15) and Nicholas Alfieri (No. 18) led the way with a pair of goals apiece in the winning effort, while No.10 Clayton Keller (0G, 3A), No. 5 Sam Rossini (0G, 2A) and No. 9 Liam Murphy (1G, 1A) also contributed multiple-points.  In addition, Royal impressively jumped-out to a quick 3-0 lead after just five minutes of play and was an impressive four-for-seven with the man-advantage.
  • Epic Comeback: Trailing by two late in Friday's bout with Gold, Red lit the lamp three times over the final 3:15 of play to skate away with a 4-3 victory.  The rally featured goals from Benjamin Lown (No. 10), Steven Ipri (No. 9) and Matt Kiersted (No. 5), with Eric Gotz (No. 6) also scoring in the first half of play for Red.  Despite the loss, Max Gerlach (No. 16) recorded a hat trick for Gold.
  • Injury Bug: Orange and Kelly were hit hardest on Friday by the recent spur of injuries to plague camp, as both clubs were forced to roll just four defensemen in their respective outings.
  • More NHL Ties: Benjamin Gleason (No. 5) of Gold is the cousin of current Carolina Hurricanes defenseman Tim Gleason.  This upcoming season is slated to be Gleason's tenth as an NHL regular, most of which has been spent with the Hurricanes.  Thus far in his career, the 6-foot blue-liner has appeared in 599 games and racked up 127 points to go along with 581 penalty minutes.  Gleason was also a member of the silver medal-winning 2010 U.S. Olympic Men’s Ice Hockey Team.
