  • What's in Store: This week's camp will feature fifty-six male and female sled hockey players ages 13-32 with the purpose of identifying, training and educating the top sled hockey athletes in the United States.  Attendees for camp are chosen by the Player Development Committee from recommendations of sled hockey coaches nationwide.  In addition to competition game-play, participants will also partake in daily practices as well as other off-ice activities.
  • Sled Hockey “Crash-Course”: Sled hockey was invented at a Stockholm, Sweden rehabilitation center in the early 1960s by a group of Swedes who, despite their physical disability, wanted to continue playing hockey. Sled hockey follows most of the typical ice hockey rules, while players sit in specially designed sleds that sit on top of two hockey skate blades.  There are also two sticks for each player, which contain metal pics on the butt end for players to maneuver around the ice.
  • Red Registers Comeback Victory: After surrendering the first goal in its opening contest against Gold, Red responded with three unanswered tallies on its way to a 3-1 win.  Red's effort was spearheaded by No. 11 Brody Roybal (2G) and No. 10 Josh Misiewicz (1G, 1A), and goaltender Kyle Huckaby (No. 1), who finished with 22 saves.
  • Navy Ousts White: Navy began its week on a positive note, defeating White by a score of 6-2.  Declan Farmer (3G, 1A) led the way with four points, while No. 11 Sam Mumper (2G, 1A) tallied three in the winning effort.  Vlad Lundquist (No. 8) also added a goal for Navy.  No. 10 Chris Douglas (2G, 0A) and No. 15 Nevin Gray (0G, 2A) picked up two points apiece for White
